In 2012 Monta graduated from Adazi Secondary School.
She graduated from the University of Latvia in 2015 being awarded the degree of social science bachelor in law.
In 2017 Monta was rewarded a professional master’s degree in law and a lawyer’s qualification at the University of Latvia.
In addition to the studies at the University of Latvia, she has improved her theoretical knowledge and gained practical skills at the Legal Clinic of the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia and by having internships and working in various private companies.
In 2016 and 2017 she participated in the Human Rights Moot Court organized by The Ombudsman of the Republic of Latvia, and both years won the second place and the title of the best orator, and the teams’ written work was rewarded as the best written part.
In 2016/2017 as a member of the team of the University of Latvia she participated in an international moot court competition Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition. Regional round of the moot court competition took place in Kiev, Ukraine, in which the team won the first place, whereas the International round took place in the UK, Oxford.
In 2017 she received a gratitude of the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia for promotion of the Faculty of Law, as well as the success in the international moot court competition.
In her free time she enjoys folk dances, traveling, Latvian and world literature and art.
In August 2016 Monta joined the team of the Law Office “Rasa & Ešenvalds”.
